How to get a same-day GP medical assessment

You can now get a same-day assessment with your GP via the NHS App, which makes it quicker and easier for you to request an urgent appointment.

You can use the service Monday to Friday between 8am to 6pm.

This is a new service, if you experience any issues, please call the practice to report the problem and get help.

If you do not have the NHS App

Download the NHS App to your smartphone or tablet from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Using the NHS App

1. Log in using your NHS credentials – if you have not registered, you can register within the NHS App, read how to set up an NHS login.
2. Once logged in, select 'Get a same-day GP medical assessment' on the NHS App ‘Home’ or ‘Services’ page.
3. Complete the form about your symptoms.
4. Once you have submitted the form, a GP will review it and the practice will contact you same day with the next steps.
